- Before installing SP2 - I would suggest downloading and running Microsoft Anti Spy http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx , Ad Aware http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html , and Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download just to be sure the system is clean, SP 2 did have some issues when it was first released but it really should be installed now, still if there any issues with the computer it is best to fix them before installing SP 2, if she is on dial up then she can order a free disc with SP 2 on it from microsoft and install it from disc because it is a HUGE d/l, you can read more about it here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx
