Click On the Start Bar
and go to run and type msconfig in the run box.
then click OK. The System Configuration Utility will Appear.
Make sure you pick the BOOT.INI Tab
take the tick off /NOGUIBOOT or just tick /SAFEBOOT
leave it on MINIMAL.
and go to run and type msconfig in the run box.

and click APPLY then OK and Restart your computer it should then reboot into safemode.
From here you can DEFRAG your computer - if any Anti-Virus program won't delete or quarantine any virus in Normal Windows mode you can delete it in Safemode.
